Miami, FL (March 10, 2015) – PALO! has been chosen as a featured musical artist for Hispanicize 2015, the largest annual event for Latino trendsetters and newsmakers in journalism, blogging, marketing, entertainment and tech entrepreneurship.

In the last several months, PALO! has gained international recognition as one of the hottest bands in tropical music. They will be featured at Hispanicize 2015 in The Positive Impact Awards on Thursday, March 19th at the InterContinental Hotel in Downtown Miami, where they will share the stage with Latin music star Luis Fonsi.

“We’re excited to have PALO! as one of our featured artists at Hispanicize 2015.” said Music Director Vanessa James. “Their broad appeal and multi-cultural energy is a perfect fit for our event.”

PALO! lead singer Leslie Cartaya and bandleader Steve Roitstein will also be on the Hispanicize panel “The State of Salsa Music” on Tuesday, March 17 at 4:10 PM. They will participate in a discussion of the current state of tropical music, and where this segment of the industry may be heading.

“I’m really happy that PALO! has been selected to perform at Hispanicize.” said Roitstein. “We can’t wait to play for such an amazing gathering of people. It’s gonna be a party!”

The band has been celebrating a lot recently. They received a Grammy nomination for Best Tropical Latin Album 2015 for “PALO! Live”, which also garnered a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Tropical Album. PALO! was also featured in the Emmy-winning PBS documentary “Miami Boheme: An American Musical Journey”. In addition to packing live music venues and festivals in South Florida, the five-piece group has enjoyed recent sold-out shows in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and Boston.
